Project Overview

Tech For She was founded by a group of students who met at a technology networking session for women. Coupled with their passion for technology from cross-disciplinary backgrounds, they hope to create an inclusive learning-as-a-service environment for women from non-tech and diverse backgrounds. The UIUX Design Learning Pitstop is a 10-week long learning sprint for anyone to develop essential industry-ready skills in the sphere of UIUX.

In this individual project, I had to identify a real human problem/frustration which was sprouted from my personal experience of splitting bills with my friends. As we frequent different locations to eat and have different individuals pay at different locations, it complicates and increases the number of transactions that we have to make between each individual. As someone who always volunteers to split the bills, I felt frustrated at the amount of time spent splitting the bills.

Hence, I create a simple app prototype to ease the process of bill splitting with friends.

This is my first individual UX project, and it was really intensive given its steep learning curve but I’m thankful for the supportive Tech For She community.
